The new PIX Pellet Nordic CIF index decreased by 98 cents from last month to 28.15 EUR/MWh. The latest index is based on August price data. The index value is calculated in EUR/MWh and it is also converted into SEK. The index will be published on the third Tuesday each month based on price data of the previous month

ENDEX Wood Pellets prices (delivery CIF Rotterdam) went down by 2,3% from the last month. The current bid price in the Rotterdam CIF is 113 Euro/MT. The price was 115,63 Euro/MT last month.
The industrial pellets are sold for the price which is less than 100 Euro/t in the Saint-Petersburg port (FOB) at the moment. Some offers are around 80 Euro/t FOB St. Petersburg. It is very low price for Russian wood pellet producers and they are wondering what is going on the market. Some companies are not sure in their future profits. The European companies tell that there are too many pellets in stocks already…At the same time the power stations are still have a need in pellets…What is going on with prices? We haven’t any concrete answer.
