JSC "EFKO" in Belgorod region is developed the JI project of the construction of a sunflower seed husk (SSH) combustion unit with heat steam production for auxiliary technological needs at the enterprise.

Project implementation will lead to a decrease of fossil fuel (natural gas) combustion and anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
The project is implemented on the production site of JSC "EFKO", Alekseevka town in Belgorod region, Russia.
There are several boilers in a site, one of it is biomass boiler which uses husk already. Two others are gas boilers. The new biomass boiler was planned to be installed in 2009-2010.
Expected results of the project: reduction of natural gas consumption and related expenses, reduction of CO2 emissions from fossil fuel combustion by average of 41,1 thousand tones per annum.
The party B (the CO2-buyer) is Camco International Ltd (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)
