The information agency INFOBIO was informed by president of the Vyborgskaya Cellulose Alexey Kazmin. 4,300 tons of wood pellets were loaded on a ship in Vyborg port on 6th of April.

The pellet buyer is DONG power station from Denmark. The April shipment was the second vessel with wood pellets from Vyborgskaya Cellulose. The first ship was loaded in March and delivered to Swedish power station ORESUNDS KRAFT.
All pellet sales from Vyborg are done by Ekman from Sweden.

Pellet plant was built on «Vyborgskaya Cellulose” in 2010. It is the biggest pellet plant in Europe with total capacity of 1 mln tons of wood pellets per year. It is situated in p.Sovetsky in Leningrad region near the border with Finland (European Union). The plant is on stage of commissioning at the moment. Official opening of the pellet production is scheduled for May 2011. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is invited to the opening ceremony.
While the pellet vessel was loaded in Vyborg, the Russian mass media published information about search in the Moscow Federal Tax Inspection because of the criminal case of the company “ES Contractstroy” from Saint-Petersburg. This company is associated with the “Vyborgskay Cellulose”. The main incrimination to the “Contractstroy” is an attempt of illegal VAT refund of 2 billion Rubles ((50 million Euros) from Federal Russian budget.
The president of the Vyborskay Cellulose doesn’t comment the incrimination as well as police search in Moscow Tax Inspection. He shows that his plant started pellet production and shipment in March 2011.
