The information agency INFOBIO was informed by president of the Vyborgskaya Cellulose Alexey Kazmin. 4,300 tons of wood pellets were loaded on a ship in Vyborg port on 6th of April. The pellet buyer is DONG power station from Denmark. The April shipment was the second vessel with wood pellets from Vyborgskaya Cellulose. The first ship was loaded in March and delivered to Swedish power station ORESUNDS KRAFT. Pellet plant was built on «Vyborgskaya Cellulose” in 2010. It is the biggest pellet plant in Europe with total capacity of 1 mln tons of wood pellets per year. It is situated in p.Sovetsky in Leningrad region near the border with Finland (European Union). The plant is on stage of commissioning at the moment. Official opening of the pellet production is scheduled for May 2011. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is invited to the opening ceremony.
