The number of pellet and briquette producers is increased in several times for 2 years in Ukraine. About 90% of all produced pellets and briquettes are exported to Europe. But the domestic usage of biofuel should be increased after the gas prices growth.

The number of pellet and briquette producers is increased in several times for 2 years in Ukraine. About 90% of all produced pellets and briquettes are exported to Europe. But the domestic usage of biofuel should be increased after the gas prices growth.

The 50% price increase for gas started at the begining of August 2010. The biofuel price and gas price are almost equal now. The domestic usage of biofuel has grown but it is still too small in country fuel consumption.

Some biofuel producers are stopped. At the same time the new companies are opened all over country. The decrease of this year's  yield shouldn't influence the straw pellet export from Ukraine. The new companies run the straw pellets production. The wood pellet producers increase the production volume as well.
